| "Ride to Rendezvous" Wagon train arrives in downtown Winthrop. The Ride to Rendezvous riders and wagon train parades through Winthrop around noon on Friday the 6th. "The Dollar Watch Jamboree" begins at 7:00pm. Lauralee Northcott and her "Horse Crazy" Band will be performing and entertaining at the Winthrop Barn. Tickets available at the door. |
Watch as the longest pack strings in the state pass by! There will be mules, horses, wagons, fun for all! This is just a small part of the HUGE '49er Day Parade! Outfitter Feast: Join all the Outfitters in their display camp, for lots of back-country style cooking. Includes: Steak and all the fixing's, then samples of the outfitter's cooking. Ryan Surface of North Cascade Safaris

The top professional packers in the state of Washington compete against each other for the title of "No. 1 Packer". 2009 winners were Ryan Surface of North Cascade Safaris placing 1st and winning the engraved silver spurs, while Jess Darwod of North Cascade Outfitters placed 2nd taking home the belt buckle. Watch the cowboys and cowgirls pack up all the gear and sling it on their favorite mules. Then it's on their horse and around the course! Contestants are judged on time and weights, as well as neatness.

Tickets to all events may be purchased at the WOGA tent in the Winthrop City Park all day Saturday!
